Located on the western side of Flagler County is a small 20 acre piece of property where something special has been taking place for a very long time. That something is education. Bunnell Elementary School has been welcoming and serving the children and families of Flagler County for 88 years. 

Many families have chosen this school because of its continued focus on the goal of 100% literacy, and the demonstrated superior quality education provided to its students by a highly qualified staff. Bunnell Elementary School is committed to a strong literacy program. Being a Title I school and participant in both the Florida Reading Initiative and the Reading First programs, specialized student support in reading is provided in addition to basic classroom instruction. In addition to these programs, opportunities exist for students to participate in homework assistance, tutoring, and a variety of after-school clubs. The Bunnell Elementary campus is home to one of the districts Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten and Child Care programs. We also offer programs for our special needs students in Pre-K to Gifted.

Bunnell Elementary School enjoys parent and community support. The Bullpups have an active PTO that helps sponsor and support many school wide activities. The faculty and staff of B.E.S. are committed to a high level of parent and community involvement and are proud of the volunteers’ countless hours given on special projects. The force of over 100 volunteers, 40 reading mentors, and special guests helps Bunnell Elementary to truly provide a learning environment for children. Remember, it is easy to make a dollar, but it’s a lot tougher to make a difference.

B.E.S. continues to offer a school culture of high standards with individualized support for its students and an opportunity to excel in an environment that encourages creativity, responsibility and community. I welcome all Flagler County residents to stop by and visit our wonderful facility.
